Sightseeing in Utrecht

RCN het Grote Bos is the place to be for an active holiday. The park is located very centrally in the Netherlands, which makes it an ideal base from which to make day trips.

Large cities with attractive city centres such as Utrecht and Amersfoort are within easy reach. At the same time, you are also within close proximity of many fun family attractions.

The Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park with its extensive woodlands, meadows and heaths also has a lot to offer.

Utrecht

One of the Netherlands’ most beautiful cities, Utrecht, is just a 10-minute train ride. Go shopping, visit museums, climb the Dom tower or simply relax on a canalside terrace. RCN het Grote Bos has various exits that lead directly in a beautiful forest. A little further away in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park, you can find heaths and sand drifts.

Visit the Dutch Railway Museum in Utrecht or famous zoos in Amersfoort and Rhenen. What about the Pyramid of Austerlitz?

Mountain bike

For all those daredevils, we have a challenging survival track right on the premises. In the surrounding woods, there are plenty of mountain bike trails to let off steam.
